Vinta's visual language: before
When I joined Vinta as the first designer on the team, I found a brand identity with lots of unrealized potential.
The existing logo, an ambigram, was elegant, clever and perfectly balanced, but there were no auxiliary elements or different versions of the logo for other digital and physical uses. The website and other visual materials (mostly hiring announcements) made the company feel very engineering-centric and serious.
Keep what's good, make everything else better.
After many explorations, our design team decided to keep the existing lettering and enclose it in an hexagonal shape that felt modern and dynamic. It also allowed Vinta's logo to be used as a stencil.
An icon version was created to be used in our social channels, and for institutional applications, we added a tagline that represented Vinta's new phase.
The new brand in action
A vibrant and playful auxiliary color palette was added to the brand, and we introduced geometric elements and illustrations to our visual materials. Below is a showcase of some of the digital and physical artifacts created by our design team during my time at Vinta.
Pedro Bacelar, who is still a designer at the company, collaborated closely with me in this brand update, and Leticia Regert's amazing illustration skills infused our visual materials with life.

Moving forward
As a result of this extensive design effort, Vinta now has an image that's way more attractive for design talent, and is no longer known as a software studio, but a forward-thinking and innovative product consultancy.
